Your Body Belongs To You
This piece is extremely important to me and is deliberately ambiguous. It could be a woman or a man and yet for me the message is the same. Your body is your body and no one has the right to touch it, or comment on it without your permission... EVER! I made this piece in response to the #metoo movement and I am so tired of the stories I hear from other people and of my own where people think they can take liberties either verbally or physically with other peoples bodies... enough now people...
Stitches...
This piece uses a combination of stitches, including seed stitch and satin stitch.I like to use lots of different stitches as I think it adds interest and texture... and I get bored easily so a piece that takes 150 hours to stitch needs to hold my interest whilst I am stitching.
